Coastal Bride featured our work in Charleston event lighting at the Alhambra Hall, Mt. Pleasant, SC wedding of Barbara and Giles. They are a wonderful couple and we were pleased to be the Charleston event lighting vendor they and their weddingn design planners, Southern Protocol selected to light their great party!

The couple chose dresses of yellow and deep pink, just sunny and cheerful. The florals offset the gowns and Southern Protocol’s deoct perfectly with deeply hued pinks, oranges, and golds in the incomparable floral design of Anne Dabney at Charleston Stems.

Providing the audio visual rentals for the viewing bars and viewing suites at the Family Circle Cup at Daniel Island is one of our favorite times of year. This year, The Family Circle cup seems not to have the best weather for the tournament.  But, our fingers are crossed for these great audiovisual clients that it improves right away.

This is AV Connections of Charleston, SC’s twelfth year providing audio visual rentals for the Family Circle Cup tennis sporting event and we look forward to being a part of this energetic and fun event every year. Spectators come from all over the nation to see the tournament and visit Charleston. It is by far one of the most well run outdoor sporting events in the United States.

We had a blast as the Charleston audiovisual provider and sponsor of the Autism Speaks Celebrity Auction at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Downtown Charleston, SC.

Autism Speaks, Carolinas Communities, hosted Master Pieces for Autism Charleston, an art auction benefiting Autism Speaks, on March 14th in Charleston, S.C.

The celebrity auction event featured original artwork made from puzzle piece shapes and designed by more than thirty different celebrities, artists, and individuals on the autism spectrum. Celebrity artists included Jeff Bridges, Edwin McCain, Grace Slick, Dabo Swinney, Jesse McCartney, Carolyn Murray, Michael Cartellone, The Ace and TJ show, Bernie Taupin, and more.

As you can see, the auction had a great turnout and surely raised a great deal for Autism Speaks.

We were on site at Embassy Suites Charleston, one of our favorite conference and banquet locations at which we provide Charleston audiovisual rentals and staging. We look forward to many years of partnership with Autism Speaks, Carolina’s Communities, it was a pleasure to serve them.

One of Charleston’s most beautiful historic sites was the location for AV Connections’ providing career fair audiovisual to the Practice Link Physicians Job Fair in Charleston, SC this week.

More SC event lighting and audio visual staging by AV Connections in Myrtle Beach for you this week! This was a really exciting job, very literally. We were pleased to work with FIRST: For Inspiration and Recognition of Information of Science and Technology, Palmetto Partners. The event was supported in part by NASA, the National Aeronautical and Space Administration.

FIRST’s mission is begin scientific creativity as early as age six and continue to support it though enrichment and competions for children through the age of eighteen in order to support the science and scientists of our future. The youngest participants begin building with Legos and over the years of enrichment can advance to the SC event lighting and audio visual staging event you see being set up in these photos by AV Connections in Myrtle Beach; the regional Robotics Competition.

We’re pleased to say we’ve been in Atlanta, GA providing stadium audio visual for  F.I.R.S.T. Peachtree Robotics at the Georgia World Congress Center. Earlier this year we were the audio visual provider for F.I.R.S.T. Palmetto Robotics’ regional competition in Myrtle Beach and it was great to be out with the Atlanta region this week.

F.I.R.S.T. Peachtree Robotics is an organization created to help in developing the space scientists of the future. Using robotics competitions like the ones you see here, Robotics encourages all ages of youth to participate in learning to build robots. Older competitors develop their own robot concepts. Those concepts are brought to these regional competitions each year.

These competitions are divided by age group and specialty, bringing youth from across each regional area. In this case, hundreds of juniors formed pit crews to compete against one another at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Stadium audio visual is big, exciting work for us at AV Connections. For FIRST Peachtree Robotics, we provided 15′ x 20′ screens, 120k lighting packages on 120′ of global trusses, speaker arrays, 15k lumen HD projectors, HD Sony cameras among other audio visual rental equipment. We also provided a complete AV production crew to run the AV and lighting for this event.
