The Francis Marion is located on Charleston’s picturesque Marion Square Park at the corner of King and Calhoun Streets in downtown Charleston. A great landmark of the Holy City, this hotel is visible from West Ashley and Mount Pleasant as it was one of the only semi-high rise structures ever allowed to be built in Charleston. After that, in order to preserve our historic city, a four-story maximum was imposed on the historic district.
