Charlotte Moss’ visit and luncheon was organized by the inexhaustible Historic Foundation of Charleston. We could not be more thrilled to get the call to be the audio visual rentals provider for HCF at Carolina Yacht Club on that day! Charlotte Moss’ incredible decorating talent have long been admired here as by many in our historic Charleston, SC. She is a talented, refined, and elegant designer whose style beautifully suits the long-preserved details of Charleston, SC’s residences. Perhaps the most exciting news is that Charlotte Moss new book is released and available for purchase on Amazon. She generously spent hours signing books and chatting with the HCF luncheon attendees at Carolina Yacht Club. All were curiously flipping through their new copies of Visual Life and fawning – understandably – at the vibrant images in the book. It is a tour de force of interior and inspiration beauty not to be missed.

One of Charleston’s most beautiful historic sites was the location for AV Connections’ providing career fair audiovisual to the Practice Link Physicians Job Fair in Charleston, SC this week.

We were pleased to work with FIRST: For Inspiration and Recognition of Information of Science and Technology, Palmetto Partners. The event was supported in part by NASA, the National Aeronautical and Space Administration.

FIRST’s mission is begin scientific creativity as early as age six and continue to support it though enrichment and competions for children through the age of eighteen in order to support the science and scientists of our future. The youngest participants begin building with Legos and over the years of enrichment can advance to the SC event lighting and audio visual staging event you see being set up in these photos by AV Connections in Myrtle Beach; the regional Robotics Competition.

We were so pleased to be selected the Charleston audio visual for the 66th Annual National Conference of Gideons International held this past weekend at the Charleston Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Friday and Saturday, the Charleston Marriott welcomed hundreds of members of the the all-volunteer group of professional members, The Gideons.  AV Connections provided audio, projection, and flown screens tot his meeting.

The Gideons are a Christian organization committed to spreading the word of Jesus through self-testament, Bibles, and New Testaments. The Gideoens have long, famously, and generously provided Bibles in every hotel room in the United States.

This large-scale national conference has brought together our teams from our North and South Carolina branches of AV Connections. We met up in Atlanta, GA to get rolling together on the corporate conference audiovisual, after a night of loading in and a full day of set up, you see the incredible results!

AV Connections, Inc. event lighting shone at a gala banquet in Charleston recently for Palmetto Medical Initiative. Our team created an beautiful outdoor party atmosphere with strings of cafe bulb lighting and uplighting. We also provided two video screens for audio visual presentation support during the event.

Set up for the event lighting and audio visual staging took most of the day in the courtyard of the Gibbes Museum of Charleston, which was the site of this twinkling evening.

Once night fell, our banquet gala gel uplighting and audio visual staging excellence really became apparent. The courtyard was completely transformed by our lighting into a gala stage.

Palmetto Medical Initiative does a lot of great work around the world being care and resources to areas where it’s programs are relied upon as the cheif source of medicine. The major programs PMI is currently addressing are in Central America and East Africa. We admire them for their tireless work to bring better health care and safe conditions to the world we share.

And we are so glad we could help them create a very special outdoor gala evening event in Charleston with our cafe bulb lighting, uplighting, and audio visual equipment staging.

We traveled to fabulous and exciting New Orleans, Louisana this week to provide audio rentals and video equipment at the Loew’s New Orleans Hotel and Conference Center (just a small part of our client and partner services across the southern United States). Our team, along with our branch team members from our home office, Visual Aids Electronics of North Carolina Inc., were pleased to partner with another audio visual staging company to be a part of exciting conference staging at the Loew’s New Orleans. Our group was able to snap a few shots of the beautiful city of New Orleans during their travels to share with you.

Our group arrived to unload our client’s audio rentals and video setups in the middle of the night (just part of the job).  Our gentlemen unloaded in the rear bays of the conference center for the client to be ready to to go first thing in the morning. The quieter hours of the middle of the night are also the easiest time to maneuver trucks through the usually busy and heavily trafficked city streets downtown.

As you can see from the trucks, we provided a great deal of equipment to this client. Some (but not all) of the audio visual rental equipment that made the trip to the conference was:

A quiet coffee and beignet at Cafe du Monde.

A morning walk through the French Quarter or Garden District.

A visit to Jackson Square and the Cabildo.

An hour (if you can tear yourself away)  in The Presbytere with the amazing cultural artifacts of generations of Mardi Gras celebrations.
